Delete your account

You can delete your SlipTap account and personal information at any time. Here's how, and exactly what happens.

Or request it by email

If you can't access the app, email us from the address on your account at admin@sliptap.co.za with the subject "Delete my account". We'll verify it's you and delete your account within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• Your email address, name and any linked-card details (first 6 and last 4 digits).
• The link between you and your saved receipts — the receipts are de-identified so they can no longer be traced to you.

What we keep, and why

A receipt can be a valid tax record. Where that applies, South African tax law (SARS) requires the underlying record to be kept for up to 5 years. We keep only the de-identified record for that period — with your name and personal details removed — and delete it after. This is a legal retention obligation, not something we choose.
