The Information Officer is registered with the Information Regulator of South Africa in terms of section 55 of POPIA.
The Information Regulator has, in terms of section 10 of PAIA, compiled a guide on how to use the Act. It is available in each official language from the Regulator: inforegulator.org.za · PAIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za · +27 (0)10 023 5200.
Some information is freely available and does not require a PAIA request — for example, our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and general product information on sliptap.co.za. A user's own account and receipt data is available to them directly inside the SlipTap app.
SlipTap holds records in the following categories. Access to any of them is subject to PAIA and the grounds for refusal in the Act.
A request may be refused on the grounds set out in Chapter 4 of Part 3 of PAIA — for example, to protect the privacy of a third party, commercially sensitive or confidential information, or where the Act otherwise requires or permits refusal.
If a request is refused, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator, or apply to court, as provided for in PAIA. Contact the Regulator at PAIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za.
This manual is available on our website at sliptap.co.za/paia, at our registered office on request, and from the Information Regulator.
